Micro-4 Four Spindle Servo Auger Filler Integrated with Mediseal LA-300 Pouch System and Checkweigher
This month PER-FIL Model Micro-4 Four Spindle Servo Micro-Filler was integrated with Mediseal Model LA-300 Pouch Machine and OCS Checkweigher for a pharmaceutical plant in New York. This system will be used for ultra-precise packaging of Cholesyramine into pouches. Cholestyramine is an oral medication that reduces the levels of cholesterol in the blood and improves itching associated with liver disease.
The PER-FIL Micro-4 Filler is equipped with four (4) Servo Auger Drives for independent fill weight adjustments. The controls of this Filler are integrated with a checkweigher for automatic fill weight adjustment. Each auger spindle is adjusted individually.
To provide extra torque at slow RPM, each auger spindle is driven by a planetary gear reducer. The Micro-4 is equipped with an oscillating agitation system for even product distribution to each auger spindle in the hopper and bulk powder is fed into the filler hopper from drums.
The Micro-4 fill head is equipped with an electric powered head height system. This facilitates removal of the auger and funnels for cleaning and changeover.
Capable of fill speeds up to 120 - 150 cpm, the Micro-4 can be integrated with your choice of pouch machine to increase your production and ensure clean, accurate fills of your powder and granular products!
