"Per-Fil is like the cadillac of the toner industry. Any good sized toner manufacturer that you tour has at least one of these machines in house."

Bill Henry, Jr. - General Manager
American Laser Products

"... it was a pleasure working with you and your team in the customization of our dispensing application. Your technical understanding and engineering resulted in precisely what we have been looking to accomplish improving efficiencies and reduction of labor all contributing to an ROI in the short term. Nice to be able to still find expertise in manufacturing in the USA…Keep up the great work!"

George S. Kouri - CEO
Sea Star Seafood

"Per-Fil's willingness and ability to test our materials surpassed others in the field. At the end of the day, it was the proven and guaranteed productivity that justified spending more than the prices quoted by others."

Gary Reed, Owner
Dead Down Wind

"I have 2 of your auger fillers. They have been wonderful machines. My favorite thing about them is there versatility. You can practically fill anything from paste to water. We fill primarily lotions and soaps and body scrubs on them. Both machines are getting older now and have taken a beating so they need parts from time to time but they still run very good overall. Thanks for building good equipment! Keep it up!"

Judah Cleveland - Production Manager
The Common Sense Farm

"The biggest win for me [from the purchase of a Micro-Filler] was the quick ROI, it took us only three work orders to recoup the purchase price of this machine compared to what sub-contractors wanted to charge us to fill. Although we purchased this unit for one specific job I keep finding more and more jobs to utilize this equipment on. It is very easy to set-up, easy to operate, easy to clean and takes up very little space when not in use"

Ron Phinney - Plant Foreman
Fresh Incorporated

"It was nice speaking with you about [purchasing] another Per-Fil filler system for our new Matrix [F/F/S]. The last system has been working faithfully for two and a half years, and in our harsh atmosphere, it is a testament to your company’s quality."

Ken Wolek, Manager
Sandtastik, Inc.

"We wanted to thank all of you who worked so quickly on getting us a replacement electrical box for our Per-Fil bagger immediately following the flood from Hurricane Floyd. Your quick action contributed greatly to salvaging a big portion of our products produced on that particular line. Also thanks for always giving us good service whenever we call needing help. We wish all our service providers were as helpful as Per-Fil."

Glenn Wheeler, Maintenance Manager
Atkinson Milling Co.

Case Study #1:
Economic Food Product Start-up Solution

Objective
To fill a wide variety of baking mixes, seasoning and herbs into pouches, jars and tins.

Problem
Short runs, frequent changeovers and an unskilled labor force dictated a filler with no-tools changeover, simple controls and minimal maintenance required.

Solution
With the lower volume fills needed, the MF Micro-Filler was the optimum Food Grade Auger Filler solution for this customer. The MF features no-tools changeover, touchscreen operator interface and simple chain drive. The low cost was ideal for this food industry start-up company!

Case Study #2:
Dispensing cooked rice

Objective
To fill and precisely place 2.0 to 4.0 oz portions of food product - cooked rice - onto microwavable dinner plates at 175 plates per minute.

Problem
Food products like cooked rice must be accurately dispensed with minimal compaction, to prevent product degradation. Placement of the portion on a specific area of the dinner plate was required to meet strict quality and appearance standards. The dispenser was to operate in a high humidity environment and be washed down with high temperature steam and caustic antibacterial solution.

Solution
Design and build a Food Grade MULTI-STATION, TRAVELING HEAD DISPENSER that was synchronized with a dual lane, continuous motion plate line. Hydraulic auger and agitator motors and controls provided trouble free performance during production and sanitizing operations.

Case Study #3:
Difficult food products at high speeds

Objective
To fill metal and plastic containers with various spice products at 250 containers per minute.

Problem
The filling and compaction of fine food powder; leaf or fiber type spice products into containers at high production rates presents many difficulties; dust, product bridging and product degradation to name just a few.

Solution
We designed a 48 station Food Grade ROTARY CONTINUOUS MOTION FILLING SYSTEM which we equipped with ORBITAL FUNNEL VIBRATION to speed up the product flow; VACUUM ASSIST to compact product; and BOTTOM RAIL TAMPING to settle product in the conatiner.

Case Study #4: Filling Flour

Objective
To fill 35 lbs. of flour into a 30 lb. can.

Problem
Using normal auger filling methods, 30 lbs. of flour will completely fill a 30 lb. can, with 5 lbs. being overflow. PER-FIL® needed to find a solution to compact the flour and fill the can.

Solution
We supplied an extended 4 cu. ft. capacity hopper to assist the densification of product prior to the fill cycle; A hydraulic lift and heavy duty vibrator assembly designed to lift the can, begin fill cycle and slowly lower at the same rate that the flour is being dispensed. The result of the bottom-up filling in conjunction with the vibration and the extended hopper is a 35# fill of flour. The density of the flour after the 35# fill resembled concrete mix.
