"Per-Fil is like the cadillac of the toner industry. Any good sized toner manufacturer that you tour has at least one of these machines in house."

Bill Henry, Jr. - General Manager
American Laser Products

"... it was a pleasure working with you and your team in the customization of our dispensing application. Your technical understanding and engineering resulted in precisely what we have been looking to accomplish improving efficiencies and reduction of labor all contributing to an ROI in the short term. Nice to be able to still find expertise in manufacturing in the USA…Keep up the great work!"

George S. Kouri - CEO
Sea Star Seafood

"Per-Fil's willingness and ability to test our materials surpassed others in the field. At the end of the day, it was the proven and guaranteed productivity that justified spending more than the prices quoted by others."

Gary Reed, Owner
Dead Down Wind

"I have 2 of your auger fillers. They have been wonderful machines. My favorite thing about them is there versatility. You can practically fill anything from paste to water. We fill primarily lotions and soaps and body scrubs on them. Both machines are getting older now and have taken a beating so they need parts from time to time but they still run very good overall. Thanks for building good equipment! Keep it up!"

Judah Cleveland - Production Manager
The Common Sense Farm

"The biggest win for me [from the purchase of a Micro-Filler] was the quick ROI, it took us only three work orders to recoup the purchase price of this machine compared to what sub-contractors wanted to charge us to fill. Although we purchased this unit for one specific job I keep finding more and more jobs to utilize this equipment on. It is very easy to set-up, easy to operate, easy to clean and takes up very little space when not in use"

Ron Phinney - Plant Foreman
Fresh Incorporated

"It was nice speaking with you about [purchasing] another Per-Fil filler system for our new Matrix [F/F/S]. The last system has been working faithfully for two and a half years, and in our harsh atmosphere, it is a testament to your company’s quality."

Ken Wolek, Manager
Sandtastik, Inc.

"We wanted to thank all of you who worked so quickly on getting us a replacement electrical box for our Per-Fil bagger immediately following the flood from Hurricane Floyd. Your quick action contributed greatly to salvaging a big portion of our products produced on that particular line. Also thanks for always giving us good service whenever we call needing help. We wish all our service providers were as helpful as Per-Fil."

Glenn Wheeler, Maintenance Manager
Atkinson Milling Co.

Case Study #1:
Acrylic nail powder

Objective
To fill acrylic nail powder into small containers of various shapes and sizes.

Problem
Customer's small containers range from round to square to rectangular and all containers need to be overfilled with product requiring bottom up/compression filling. Various color powders require quick cleaning and changeover.

Solution
PER-FIL® Model Micro-2C fills two containers at a time to meet customers rates of 70 cpm and starwheel indexing insures precise container handling. No tools changeover on all container handling parts ensures quick changeover between container types and sizes. A dual lift station at the fill position provides bottom up fill to compress the product in the containers.

Case Study #2:
Buttermilk Bath Powder

Objective
To fill 330 gr. of Buttermilk Bath Powder into glass bottles at high fill rates.

Problem
The glass bottles have a small opening and testing determined that the bottles only hold 295 gr of Milk Bath Product.

Solution
PER-FIL® Model PF-23 Single Head Automatic Filler with four-up dividing head assembly allowed four bottles to be filled at once. Since four bottles were filled at one time, the auger could be slowed down and the bottles filled with intense vibration. The bottles were vibrated for an additional 4 seconds after the fill to further settle the product in the bottles.

Case Study #3:
Filling at High speed / Fine Powder

Objective
High speed filling of a Talc, Cornstarch and Baby Powder into round, rectangular and oval shaped plastic bottles.

Problem
Customer previously used vacuum filling equipment for high speed filling of his personal care products but was experiencing inaccurate fills and excessive downtime. He needed accurate dispensing and clean container handling. Due to the cornstarch product, the equipment must meet Class II, Div II, Group F & G explosion proof requirements.

Solution
The MF-4C features four servo driven augers in one common hopper so four containers are filled at one time. By directly augering the powder into each bottle, we have optimum control over fill accuracy and fill speed. The bottles are lifted at the fill position to insert the nozzle into the bottle ensuring a dust free dispense. Feedscrew container handling with hold down rail allowed the oval containers to be handled without shingling. Explosion proof components and air purged head and electrical enclosures made the equipment suitable for Class II, Div II environment.

Case Study #4:
Filling Eye shadow into roller ball applicator tubes

Objective
To fill small plastic tubes with 2.9 gr of eye shadow.

Problem
The roller ball applicator tubes have a very small fill opening (7/16") limiting the throughput of the auger. Additionally the mica is extremely abrasive causing frequent wear of augers, causing high replacement parts cost.

Solution
PER-FIL® Industries Micro-II- Utilizing two augers in one common hopper allows an operator to manually fill two tubes at one time, doubling the throughput of customer's previous filling system. Additionally, high speed agitators on each auger shaft, move the product down into the auger flights without using an overflighted auger preventing this abrasive product from causing premature wearing of the augers.
